Notes on batch 12 of my home brew.

Mash

  1. Mash Duration: 60 min
  2. Strike Temperature: 75 C
  3. Mash Temperature: 68 C
  4. Mashout Temperature: 75 C

Ingredients:

  1. 5.5 L - Water
  2. 2 Kg - Pale Malt
  3. 0.1 Kg - Crystal 40
  4. 0.05 Kg - Crystal 120
  5. 0.05 Kg - Wheat

Boil

  1. Boil Duration: 80 min
  2. Volume: 17 L
  3. IBU: 14.25

Ingredients:

  1. 80 min - 10 g - East Kent Goldings (AA 6.2%)
  2. 15 min - 1 tsp. - Irish Moss
  3. 5 min - 10 g - East Kent Goldings (AA 6.2%)

Ferment

  1. Yeast: WLP007 Dry English Ale
  2. Original Gravity: 1.040
  3. Final Gravity: 1.006
  4. ABV: 4.58%

  5. Started: 09/11/2014
  6. Bottled: 23/11/2014

Notes

Aiming for Mild style of beer, worked out pretty well perhaps slightly over carbonated for a Mild.
